Hey all,

It’s super important to let us know if you are not getting our emails. Pease email us at info@goodforyoucrossfit.com if you are not getting up to date emails. Also, I’ve had at least one person who got some emails in their regular inbox and some that went to their junk/spam inbox. Just a heads up on that weird scenario.

We had a pretty decent turn out for our GFY Outdoor Challenge Workout on Saturday. I will post all the pictures on the blog tonight. Great job. Everyone looked so happy to be out. Our plan is to organize at least one group workout this week at a location near the gym. We will have you reserve spots and offer the workout twice in a day. Stay tuned for details.

Beginning tonight, Chyna and I will be posting a video of the workout of the day with a full description of the workout, a demo of movements, and scaling options. We will continue to post workouts Monday through Friday that will be suitable for every one.

We appreciate everyone’s support of the gym during this government mandated shut down. None of us has ever experienced anything like this before, and as gym owners, Chyna and I still have a lot of uncertainty as to how to handle the business. The county shutdown was originally scheduled to end on 4/7. The state shutdown does not have an end date. In my heart, I think that someone making the decisions will realize that the spread has slowed (if even slightly) and that people need to get on with their lives and make their own decisions. It’s not like the virus is just going to disappear.

I know many of you are still working from home and are possibly not seeing any change in your financial situation, but at this time, Chyna and I (after consulting Kai of course) have decided that we will suspend all membership fees beginning 4/8. You will all still be “members” and we will continue to provide daily workouts and try and organize group events. We just don’t feel right charging you for the services you signed up for if we can’t provide them to you. Once the Shelter In Place is lifted, we will reactivate all accounts.

Soooooooo…..today was our first attempt at making a workout video. I promise you they will get better….haha. We were a little short pressed for time today because we are headed to visit Chyna’s mom in Salinas. Tomorrow, I will have access to all my video equipment and we’ll try and make the videos more detailed. Special guest appearance by Kai in today’s vid……

  • 20 Push-ups
  • 20 Double Unders OR 50 singles OR 20 Jumping Jacks
  • 10 Push-ups

Rest 3 minutes, then….

  • 60 Double Unders OR 100 singles OR 60 Jumping Jacks
  • 30 Alternating V-ups (sub sit-ups or crunches)
  • 40 Double Unders OR 75 singles OR 40 Jumping Jacks
  • 20 Alternating V-ups
  • 20 Double Unders OR 50 singles OR 20 Jumping Jacks
