Crossfit Level 1 Certification Crossfit Level 2 Certification
A year after high school I was working at Jamba Juice wanting to make a change in my life for the better, I wanted to enlist in the military. That's when reality hit me, I was extremely out of shape. During my preparation for boot camp I discovered I couldn't run a mile without throwing up and could barely bench press 100lbs. After completing boot camp and all my technical training, I decided I never want to feel that out of shape ever again. I knew that running was a huge weakness for me, so I just kept running more and more until I got better at it. Started small, with a couple miles a session which eventually grew to 10+ miles a session. I began running half marathons and eventually full marathons to give me a goal to train towards. During a deployment to Africa in 2013 I took my first Crossfit Class at the on base affiliate, Crossfit 11th Parallel. Since then I've been hooked.
Motivation & Passion
I enjoy coaching because I love to help people and I feel like I could relate to the common CrossFitter. I'm just a regular guy who lacks wrist flexibility in the front rack position, had a hard time learning how to do double unders, and struggled to get that first muscle up. I love being able to help people achieve lifts and movements that they thought they could never do. I get more satisfaction being able to coach a individual to a PR than getting a PR myself. To see their face light up and their excitement radiate throughout gym is a huge reason why I love coaching.
