During my ambitions in bodybuilding and powerlifting, I just wanted to be as "big" as I possibly could. I began eating consistently over 8,000 calories per day, which brought me to a staggering weight of 280 pounds! However, I did not like the way I felt, and I especially did not like the way I looked; even though, my lifts were stronger and heavier than they have ever been. This is where my close friends introduced me to CrossFit. Of course, I immediately fell in love with the Olympic Weightlifting portions of CrossFit; however, the gymnastics and the cardiovascular challenges that this sport brings only made my love and obsession grow stronger for it.
Motivation & Passion
I have always loved teaching and coaching, and this was especially true in my career as a flight instructor. I truly enjoy seeing the progress that CrossFit participants and gym members have on a daily basis, and learn so much from everyone I encounter. I am always motivated when I see everyone achieve their goals, and strive to be better each day after each workout!
